ABF Announces 2009 BADA Award Winners

It is with great pleasure that the ABF Board of Directors announces the recipients of the 2009 Baseball Australia Diamond Awards - which are to be presented at a black tie event on Saturday, 21 February 2009 at Rydges on Swanston in Melbourne.

Congratulations to the following winners:

·         President's Award - Ken Wesslink (South Australia)

·         ABF Life Membership - Ronald Morgan (South Australia) and Shane Tonkin (Western Australia)

·         Administrator of the Year Award - Shane Tonkin (Western Australia)

·         Club of the Year Award - Doncaster Baseball Club (VIC) and Peninsula Padres Baseball Club (QLD) 

·         Official of the Year Award - Mal Mackay (Queensland)

·         Volunteer of the Year Award - Louise Paewai (Queensland)   

·         Coach of the Year Award - Tony Harris (South Australia) 

·         Player of the Year - Open Womens Award - Simone Wearne (Victoria)

·         Player of the Year - Youth Award - James Linger (Queensland)

The official announcement of the Hall of Fame inductees and the State Association of the Year Award are yet to be released.
